In alignment with UBC’s Indigenous Strategic Plan and the Faculty of Arts’ values of equity and inclusion, the Place and Power degree requirement, which goes live 2024W, asks students to interrogate settler-colonial structures of marginalization and oppression as they manifest locally and transnationally in the place now known as British Columbia. As we continue to develop these courses, this session will combine discussion from the project leads and faculty who have been developing courses as well as allow time for attendees to ask questions and share ideas regarding their work developing Place and Power curricula.
