Nov. 30, 2020 update: The Arts ISIT Help Desk will be ending on-campus support starting Monday, December 7 until further notice, but will continue to support Arts faculty and staff remotely.
UBC has been working diligently to follow the guidance of federal and provincial authorities in implementing risk mitigation measures to keep the risk of exposure as low as reasonably achievable.
Starting September 8, the Arts ISIT Help Desk will be back on campus in a limited capacity to support the classrooms that have in-person classes, as well as supporting instructors who may need to borrow recording equipment.
Faculty of Arts will have recording equipment available for instructors to book, in order to live stream and/or record their lectures for uploading. Since the instructors may be holding live classes, these instructors may require immediate support if they cannot work the technology in the classrooms, ranging from AV-related, such as projector or audio issues, to IT-related, such as computer troubleshooting or internet connectivity issues.
At this time, the Help Desk is still closed to in-person drop-in support. To remain safe, we advise everyone to contact us through phone, email, or virtual drop-in.
