What to Do When You Lose Your Phone or Computer

If you’ve lost your phone or your computer (desktop or laptop), you must take immediate action to prevent further damage.
Dangers
- Identity theft.
- Compromised passwords.
- Stolen student information.
- Leaked exams and assignments.
If you have lost your smartphone, quickly take the following steps:
- Reset your CWL password here.
- If you have an iPhone with iCloud setup, follow Apple’s document on how to use Find My iPhone.
- If you have FASmail setup, log in to webmail and go to “Options -> See All Options -> Phone” to wipe your smartphone remotely.
- Contact us immediately.
If you have lost your computer, quickly take the following steps:
- Reset your CWL password here.
- If your computer is not encrypted, promptly change all your passwords, including banking and social media websites (e.g. Facebook, Gmail, PayPal, eBay, DropBox, etc.).
