Peer Evaluation and Review
Parent Page(s): Teaching with Online Tools
Have students evaluate their peers to gain important skills in critically assessing their own work.
Peer evaluation (or peer review) is a type of assessment activity where students are asked to provide feedback on or potentially grade the work of other students in the course. Different tools are available to help facilitate qualitative written feedback, structured feedback using rubrics or peer grading, depending on the goals of the course. Peer evaluation activities are useful in helping to provide more opportunities for students to get feedback on written work, particularly in large enrollment courses.
