When blended with traditional instruction, digital tools can further encourage collaboration and personal responsibility for learning in a mixed mode classroom environment. There are many ways blended classrooms can support the educational needs of university students. For example, a first year Geography course piloted the use of Microsoft Teams to support collaborative learning activities. Student feedback on this blended approach showed how educational technology can help foster better learning environments, and more engaged and flexible ways of teaching.
