Explore a series of pedagogical topics and approaches, presented by award-winning Arts faculty members.
Join us for a masterclass exploring thought-provoking topics in teaching and pedagogy, presented by Arts recipients of the 2024-2025 Killam Teaching Prize. Participate in interactive group activities to help you practice new strategies and engage in deeper dialogue on various topics.
Some learning outcomes you’ll explore in Masterclass 1 include:
- Learning the background behind the Musqueam name for UBC’s East Mall, and how naming practices can connect to the broader learning experience
- Strategies for formulating effective questions and recognizing trustworthy information, practiced through hands-on group exercises
Note: This masterclass covers different materials from Killam Teaching Prize Recipients Masterclass 2. Sign up for either event or attend both sessions for a more comprehensive experience.
