Describe what you do at Arts ISIT
In the projects and administration team, we help deliver custom digital solutions to improve the way we work in Arts. My role involves liaising between Arts staff/faculty and my colleagues in ISIT to understand problems and goals to address, and ensure we are aligned to provide strategic value to the Faculty.
What is the best thing about the work you do at Arts ISIT?
I am grateful to work with such smart, caring, and dedicated teammates! Instructional support and information technology can get bogged down by jargon and processes, but people are at the heart of what we do.
Between strategies and process improvements, new websites, and custom applications, I get to learn about about how Arts faculty and staff support teaching, learning, and research, and I get to be part of delivering creative, innovative solutions to make their lives a little easier.
What are your areas of expertise?
My area of expertise is project management, and I also have some background in administration.
Which services does your work relate to?
Please list some related projects/tools/resources you work on
I’ve had the privilege of working on many Arts website renewal projects on Arts CMS as well as other websites.
Our team developed an internal process plan that leverages MS Teams, AIR, ServiceNow, and project management tools to improve our productivity and collaboration. We recently presented some productivity tips at our summer conference.
Can you share some of your personal interests or hobbies?
I’m part of the UBC staff choir, and I listen to a lot of pop and show tunes. I’m also a fan of podcasts (some of my favourites include Culture Study, The Film Reroll, and Science Vs). When I’m not baking, you can find me curled up inside with some historical fiction, or watching Survivor or anything on Dropout.
