New Arts Tableau reports for section meeting patterns and instructor schedules



Eligible Arts faculty and staff can now access the Section Meeting Pattern Report and the Instructor Schedule Viewer Report.

Available on Arts Tableau, these new reports by Arts ISIT can help Arts academic units gain better insights on course scheduling. Use these reports to identify course meeting patterns and easily browse instructors’ teaching schedules.

These resources are available to department heads, administrators, and other eligible administrative faculty and staff (e.g., program chairs, undergraduate directors).


Section Meetings Patterns Report

Use the Section Meetings Patterns Report to discover insights on when course sections in your unit are scheduled to meet. The report can help you:

  • Review meeting frequency, duration, and day-of-week trends, along with expected attendance based on section capacity or enrolment
  • Analyze daily seat utilization and attendance patterns by class size, course year level, and delivery mode
  • Explore trends in seat utilization and attendance by meeting start time
  • Zoom into specific sections to view meeting schedules along with details such as capacity, enrolment, instructor assignments, and room information
  • Compare meeting pattern trends in your unit to those in other units or the Faculty of Arts as a whole

Instructor Schedule Viewer Report

Easily view instructors’ teaching schedules using the Instructor Schedule Viewer Tool. Originally designed to support scheduling for Peer Review of Teaching, you can also use it for other purposes where viewing instructors’ teaching schedules may be helpful. You can use the report to:

  • Easily browse instructors’ teaching schedules (if they are assigned an ‘Instructor Teaching’ role) across the Faculty of Arts
  • See instructors’ schedules for courses that are in progress or for upcoming courses with available scheduling information
