This online webinar, led by Chien-Ju Lin, of the Department of Asian Studies Chinese Program, will showcase how the text-based activities of Collaborative Learning Notes (CLNotes) can be used to help students of different learning backgrounds work together to understand and engage with course materials. Among other advantages, CLNotes allows instructors to:
- Automatically generate learning activities such as fill-in-the-blank sentences and vocabulary flashcards, to help with text review.
- Present authentic ‘real world’ materials and primary sources such as news articles, so that students can use the built-in CLNotes automatic translation or discussion board functions.
- Share the scripts of student final projects with their peers, so that students who are hesitant to participate in live class discussions can give their feedback online, with the assistance of automatic definition features.
- Monitor student understanding of course materials through realtime assessment options.
Come hear from a fellow instructor how collaborative learning through CLNotes can help your students engage at a deeper level with course materials and class discussions.
