A notice to all instructors importing Canvas content and creating course copies:
A reported issue with Canvas has been causing embedded media files to break upon imports and course copies. It only affects media embedded from Canvas files or uploaded from your computer. Media embedded using Kaltura remains unaffected.
The issue has been raised with Canvas Support. In the meantime, we recommend using Kaltura to embed media in Canvas. Instructions on how to use Kaltura can be found on the UBC LT Hub website. Contact Arts ISIT for questions or to request a consultation on embedding media into Canvas.
