Faculty of Arts Internal Call for Participation in the Universal Design for Learning Fellows Program

As part of the 2024 Small Teaching and Learning Enhancement Fund (TLEF) funding round, the Office of the Provost and Vice-President Academic has earmarked funding to support a second cohort for the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) Fellows Program.

This cohort-based program supports teams across the university in redesigning a course or learning context using UDL principles to provide more options and flexibility for learners through the design of inclusive resources, tools, and course delivery. To participate, you must be nominated by your Faculty.

Faculty of Arts nomination process

The Faculty of Arts can nominate two teams for participation in the 2024/25 academic year and is requesting Arts instructors who would like to be considered to submit their nomination form by Monday, January 8, 2024. The Associate Dean Academic will make nominations following review by an adjudication committee. Once the two projects for Arts have been identified, Arts ISIT will work with the lead instructor to identify the support staff that best complements the goals and needs of the project team.

The selected participants will then work with the Associate Dean Academic and Arts ISIT staff to revise the nomination form to address the Dean’s Office feedback and confirm team member roles before submitting the final nomination forms to the TLEF administration.
