Practical Winter 2020-2021 Term 2 Resources for Arts GAAs & TAs

December 16, 2020

Arts ISIT has created a web guide on Practical Resources for Arts Graduate Academic and Teaching Assistants that includes Canvas training courses, links to TA-focused webinars, and how-to resources for successfully delivering remote instruction.

New for term 2 are a set of instructional modules that have been added to the Arts GAA & TA Community Forum, which provide practical information on how TAs can use Canvas to support online course delivery. They contain simple guides on setting up Canvas pages and modules, creating and grading assessments, and options for communication with students.

In addition, two TA-focused webinars have been scheduled for the first week of January, before the new start of term date on January 11th. These sessions will focus on course management on Canvas (Thursday, January 7) and exam invigilation using Zoom and Respondus Lockdown Browser (Friday, January 8), specifically for the TA role.

We hope these resources help ease your transition into the start of term, and please contact us if you would like to request a training session for your department, or if you have suggestions on how we can better support you.

Happy holidays, and take care!
