Describe what you do at Arts ISIT
I develop and support web applications that enhance teaching, research, and administration. My work includes creating new features, maintaining existing services, and collaborating with colleagues to solve technical challenges. I focus on making technology easier to use and helping academic programs deliver their services more effectively.
On the technical side, I manage RHEL servers, MySQL databases, and APIs, customize platforms such as WordPress, and build secure, scalable solutions.
What is the best thing about the work you do at Arts ISIT?
The best part of my work at Arts ISIT is transforming abstract ideas into functional digital experiences. I enjoy taking conceptual visions and requirements and translating them into clear interfaces, features, and workflows that people can actually use.
I work closely with the Service Strategy & Design team to understand client goals and expectations, ensuring every solution not only meets technical needs but also reflects their vision. Seeing ideas come to life in a way that makes teaching, research, or administration easier is the most rewarding aspect of what I do.
What are your areas of expertise?
My expertise is in designing, coding, and maintaining websites and web applications. I work with PHP, JavaScript, and jQuery, manage RHEL servers and MySQL databases, and use frameworks and best practices to deliver secure, scalable, and user-friendly digital experiences, including custom solutions for platforms like WordPress.
