Lecture Capture for 2021 Winter Session
For the upcoming 2021 Winter session, you can now request support with recording and/or streaming lectures for your in-person classes. UBC is currently installing lecture recording equipment in approximately 160 General Teaching Spaces (GTS). These teaching spaces allow you to schedule and automatically record and livestream your lectures. Students who have missed the class or don’t understand a concept will be able to replay lectures so they can be carefully reviewed for studying purposes or to reaffirm their learning.
Please complete the survey below with your lecture capture needs no later than AUGUST 11, 2021 so we have sufficient time to arrange support for you. It is important for us to hear from you to ensure we understand what the demands and needs are across the faculty. You will need to submit a new request for each course you are teaching that requires lecture capture.
Before filling out the form, please go to the Recording and Streaming in Classroom to check if your classroom is listed. You can check your scheduled classroom by going to the Student Service Centre Course Schedule website.
If you require lecture capture and will be teaching in one of these classrooms, complete this survey to arrange automated scheduled recordings.
If your classroom is not listed, contact your department administrator or Scheduling Services to request that your class be moved to one of these rooms. If it is not possible to switch rooms, please still complete this survey so we can connect with you to identify and provide alternative options. There will be a limited number of mobile recording carts that will be available to sign out for lecture capture purposes.
