Create dynamic and interactive animated videos.
VideoScribe is a whiteboard video animation software developed by Sparkol. It allows users to create highly dynamic and interactive animation videos on a virtual whiteboard interface. UBC features a campus-wide license available to all faculty, staff and students.

Software Features:

  • Choose from an extensive library of shapes, images and text fonts and customize how they are animated
  • Add voiceovers and soundtracks from the media library or record your own
  • Save and export projects onto your computer to work on them offline
  • Publish videos as PowerPoint presentations and media files, or directly share them on YouTube and Facebook
  • Compatible with PC, Mac and iPads

Getting Started

  1. Log into Connect (http://connect.ubc.ca) with your UBC CWL
  2. Click on the Resources tab on the top of the page
  3. Scroll down to VideoScribe Registration
  4. Fill in the fields to register for a VideoScribe account.
  5. You will receive an email from VideoScribe with a link to complete your registration.
  6. After you have created a VideoScribe account, go to https://my.sparkol.com/download to download the software onto your computer.
